Gig w Erik Jekabson

Here are a few mp3s from a recent gig with trumpeter Eric Jekabson.  Eric and I met in New York just over 10 years ago and played quite a bit at that time.

Erik Jekabson Shoot

I was lucky to record on one of Erik’s early albums called “Intersection” which included some wonderful musicians; Ben Monder (Guitar), Mark Ferber (Drums), John Ellis (Tenor Sax), Alexis Cuadrado (Bass), myself on tenor and Erik on trumpet… Erik is a fantastic improviser, composer, and arranger and we played a gig on July 6th here in Kansas City with the Jeff Harshbarger quartet.

Here are a few bootlegs from the gig with Jeff on bass and Brian Steever on drums.  I had to cut the takes short to accommodate the 10mb upload limit on WordPress.

~Enjoy!
